We boarded the boat at Elizabeth Quay and took a 90 minute cruise from Perth to Fremantle. There was a light shower as we left Lake Karrinyup Country Club but the weather was otherwise perfect and the sea was still. After leaving Perth we passed Kings Park and the Swan Brewery carrying on under the Narrows Bridge and past the University WA and the Royal Perth Yacht Club. The commentary mentioned the upmarket houses near Jutland Parade and the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, as well as the beautiful cliff faces of Black Water Reach and the famous Point Walter Spit. Mike met us in Fremantle and took us to Walters River Cafe in Point Walter where we all enjoyed a marvellous lunch.
This was Jean’s last outing as organiser. Thank you for yet another marvellous outing
