Aims and Objectives of the
Probus Club of Perth Inc.

The Probus Club of Perth forms part of an organisation now established in many countries which was set up primarily to enable retired and semi-retired men and women to:

  • Meet regularly in congenial surroundings in which they can enjoy each other’s company and discuss matters of common interest;
  • Hear guests speak on a wide variety of topical subjects;
  • Join in occasional social functions and visits to places and  organisations of general interest;
  • Probus is a non-sectarian, non-political and non-fundraising organisation.

Membership of the club is open to men and women who are looking to keep active, expand their interests and enjoy the fellowship of new friends.

Members meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Lake Karrinyup Country Club in Karrinyup to deal briefly with club business, hear a guest speaker and, if they choose, have lunch together. The meeting will conclude at 12 noon.

Members’ wives, husbands and guests are invited to attend the social functions and outings which are arranged from time to time.

The entry fee on joining is $30.

There is an annual subscription fee of $80 usually payable during March.

Refreshments are available on arrival from 9 a.m. and during a mid-morning break of around 15 minutes.

A sit-down lunch is served from 12:15 onwards and costs $15 to $20. Orders are taken prior to the start of the meeting. Drinks can be bought from the bar.
